In partnership with a leading global streaming platform, we embarked on a mission to enhance access to mental health resources in the dynamic markets of the Middle East and Africa. As a specialized localization company, our goal was to expand the platform’s influence by tailoring its content to better resonate with local audiences.

Challenge:

As the platform sought to raise mental health awareness globally, a particular focus was placed on disseminating podcasts about eating disorders across MENA and Asia. The challenge was not only to broaden the reach but also to refine the user experience, making it more accessible and relevant to diverse cultural contexts.

Solution:

Having identified the main challenge, our approach was primarily centered on localizing search terms to align with regional languages and cultural nuances. Our team of native experts started with the validation of the keywords to ensure relevance to both the locale and the subject matter, before they expanded the keyword list to include a broader range of culturally resonant terms. We, further, implemented an auto-detection system that adapts the minimum search term requirements. Eventually, we managed to meet the client’s ultimate objective of increasing engagement in the targeted regions.
